Why do we need waste PA airbag recycling?

As the base fabric of the airbag assembled in the airbag device, there is a fabric (uncoated base fabric) woven (usually plain woven) made of PA fiber threads (for example, nylon 66), and one or both sides of the fabric There are two types of coated fabrics (coated base fabrics) that form elastic coating films.

Waste materials of airbag base fabrics (including scraps generated when cutting the base fabrics. The same applies below) are generated in large quantities. There are increasing demands for recycling (reusing) base fabric waste as PA recycled materials.

How to recycle PA airbag waste?

Before the actual recycling process, the delivered plastic waste is checked for impurities and foreign matter and, if necessary, pre-sorted according to type. By doing this, the purity and high quality of PA air bag waste recycling and re-granulation can be guaranteed.

PA air bag waste is sent to the hopper through the conveying system. After shredding, a conveyor belt with an integrated magnetic drum for FE impurity separation discharges the shredded material from the machine onto the feed belt of the extrusion line. There, the material is melted, homogenized and, if necessary, degassed. The molten plastic is cooled into strips in a water bath, cut into the desired particle size, and dried. The resulting re-granulation can eventually be returned to the raw material cycle. As a result, the proportion of new plastic in production can be significantly reduced and replaced with new plastic.

Waste PA Airbag Recycling Shredder Machine Working principle:
PA airbag waste shredder is to cut and shred the materials through the relative rotating of the two sets of cutter shafts, the mutual shearing among the blades of moving knives & the cutter heads and the distance sleeves. The outlet-material control of double-shaft PA airbag waste is adopted the network design, the width and length of outlet-material are determined on the width of the cutter, and the distance of cutter heads. Two groups of cutter shafts rotate at different speeds which leads to the shearing and shredding of materials simultaneously, it improves the efficiency of shredding.
