Installing Dual Shaft Shredder Blades: Comprehensive Step-by-Step Guide
1.Safety Prep:
Cut off main power, lock out/tag out (LOTO), and release hydraulic system pressure. Prepare specialized tools (hydraulic puller, torque wrench), compliant replacement blades, and PPE (cut-resistant gloves, safety goggles).
2.Removing Old Blade:
Clean accumulated material/rust from the blade housing. Use a hydraulic puller with staged pressure or heat-assisted disassembly. Keep the blade level during hoisting. Post-removal, inspect keyway/rotor shaft wear, remove burrs, and ensure smooth mating surfaces.
3.Installing New Blade:
Apply lubricant to the blade’s working surface and thread-locking compound to the keyway. Use laser alignment to verify blade end-face runout compliance. Tighten bolts symmetrically in stages to specified torque. Adjust blade-liner gap to proper range.
4.Acceptance Testing:
Run unloaded: Monitor bearing temperature, vibration, and noise. Gradually increase to full load: Periodically check blade tightness and operational stability.
Blade disassembly
| 1. Remove the fastening screws and dismantle the feeding hopper. |
 |
| 2.Remove the fastening screws and disassemble the motor. |
 |
| 3.Remove the fastening screws and disassemble the gearbox. |
 |
| 4. Remove the fastening screws and sequentially disassemble the bearing seat and other components. |
 |
| 5.Lift the knife roller vertically upwards. |
 |
| 6.Wipe the new blade. |
 |
| 7. Install a new tool (lubricating oil can be applied to the spindle). |
 |
| 8.After the tool replacement is completed, please install the tool in reverse according to the above steps. |
