In the context of rapid industrial development and social progress, the renewal speed of various equipment is accelerating. As key components widely used in automobiles, home appliances, industrial machinery and other fields, aluminum and copper radiators have generated a large number of waste products. If these waste radiators are discarded at will, they will not only occupy a lot of land resources, but also their metal components may pollute soil and water sources due to corrosion and oxidation, damaging the ecological environment. At the same time, as important metal resources, copper and aluminum have limited mineral reserves, and over-exploitation will aggravate the problem of resource shortage – the mining cost of primary copper ore is constantly rising, bauxite reserves are in short supply, and the traditional model relying on primary resources is no longer sustainable.

The recycling process of copper-aluminum radiators is rigorous and standardized, roughly divided into the following steps. The first is collection and gathering. Recycling enterprises collect scattered waste copper-aluminum radiators by setting up recycling points and cooperating with manufacturers and maintenance institutions. The second is sorting and classification. Workers carefully inspect the recycled radiators, remove non-metallic impurities such as plastics and rubber, and classify them according to the material purity and damage degree of the radiators to prepare for subsequent processing. Next is disassembly and treatment. Using professional tools and equipment, the copper parts and aluminum parts of the radiators are separated to ensure that the two metals can be processed separately. Then it enters the smelting and purification stage. The separated copper and aluminum are sent to furnaces for high-temperature smelting to remove impurities and extract high-purity metal ingots. Finally, these metal ingots are transported to relevant processing plants to be remade into new copper-aluminum products and re-enter the market circulation.
Process Of Copper-Aluminum Radiators
 |
Dual-shaft Shredding: Shred waste radiators into 5-20 cm materials to adapt to subsequent equipment and initially destroy the structure. |
 |
Hammer Crushing: Refine the shredded strips into flake particles, increase the metal surface area, and create conditions for sorting. |
 |
Magnetic Separation: Separate iron metals through combined magnetic separation equipment with a removal rate of 99.7%, avoiding iron impurities from interfering with subsequent processes. |
 |
Airflow Rough Separation: Utilize the specific gravity difference between copper and aluminum (aluminum 2.7, copper 8.9); aluminum particles are discharged and copper particles fall through airflow to complete rough separation. |
 |
Specific Gravity Precision Separation: With the help of vibrating screen vibration and upward airflow, aluminum (lightweight) is collected from the lower part and copper (heavyweight) is separated from the upper part, with a sorting efficiency of 97%, achieving precise purification. |
 |
Dust Removal and Purification: Use pulse dust collectors to collect dust throughout the process, with a dust removal efficiency of 99%, avoiding dust pollution and ensuring a clean production environment. |
Realize the recycling of metal resources such as copper and aluminum, and reduce dependence on primary mineral resources. Data shows that the energy consumed to recycle 1 ton of waste copper is only about 20% of that for mining primary copper ore, which can replace 4.5 tons of primary copper ore; the energy consumption for recycling 1 ton of waste aluminum is only 5% of that for electrolytic aluminum, reducing carbon emissions by 95%.
Extend the service life of metal resources, promote the sustainable use of resources, and provide an effective way to solve the global resource shortage problem.
Avoid pollution caused by random disposal of waste radiators from the source: prevent problems such as heavy metal (e.g., copper ion) leakage polluting water bodies and refrigerant (e.g., Freon) leakage damaging the ozone layer.
The whole process of closed operation combined with pulse dust removal technology reduces the emission of waste gas, waste water and waste residue in the metal smelting process, realizes “near-zero emission of pollutants”, and reduces the pressure on the ecological environment.
Form a complete industrial chain from collection, processing to reuse, create a large number of jobs, and at the same time reduce the raw material costs of enterprises and improve economic efficiency. For example, the efficiency of the automated recycling line is more than 5 times higher than that of traditional manual sorting, greatly reducing labor costs.
Enhance the social awareness of environmental protection, encourage more people to participate in resource recycling, and promote the formation of a green and low-carbon production and lifestyle, laying the foundation for building a resource-saving and environment-friendly society.
1.Obvious cost advantage: The cost of recycling and refining metals is much lower than that of smelting metals from ores, which can save a lot of production costs for enterprises and improve their market competitiveness.
2.High processing efficiency: Mature recycling processes and advanced processing equipment (such as PNMR series) enable waste radiators to be processed quickly, realizing the rapid recycling of resources.
3.Environmentally friendly: The recycling process reduces the generation of waste, reduces the pressure of garbage disposal, and improves the urban and rural environment.
