End Of Life Solar Photovoltaic Panel Aluminium Frame Shredding Equipment

The Solar Photovoltaic Panel Shredder is a specialized industrial processing equipment designed for end-of-life solar photovoltaic modules, operating as part of the solid waste recycling and resource recovery system. Through mechanical dismantling and shredding processes, the device breaks down solar panels into refined fragments or granular materials. Integrated with subsequent sorting technologies, it enables efficient separation and resource recovery of components such as glass substrates, metal wires, and silicon materials. This equipment serves as critical volume reduction machinery within the photovoltaic industry’s circular economy system.

Applications of Solar Photovoltaic Panel Aluminium Frame Shredding Equipment:

Recycling facilities specializing in solar photovoltaic PV panel waste

Solar farm decommissioning projects requiring on-site shredding

Manufacturers recovering raw materials from defective photovoltaic PV solar panels

Working Principle of Solar Photovoltaic Panel Aluminium Frame Shredding Equipment:

1. Feeding & Conveyance

Process: End-of-life solar photovoltaic PV panels are fed into the shredder via manual or automated feeding systems (e.g., conveyor belts, grabbers). A conveying mechanism (belt or screw conveyor) steadily transports panels to the shredding chamber.

Anti-Jamming Design: The feed inlet is equipped with anti-blocking devices (e.g., press rollers) to ensure smooth entry of bulky materials, preventing clogging.

2. Shredding Chamber Process

Rotary Blade Action:

One or multiple sets of motor-driven, low-speed, high-torque rotary blades (rotating at 10-200 RPM) tear apart panels.

Spiral or staggered blade arrangements create shearing zones, where photovoltaic PV solar panels are shredded through combined shear and compressive forces.

Stationary Blade Assistance:

Fixed blades mounted on the chamber wall interact with rotary blades to refine cuts and limit material movement, ensuring thorough fragmentation.

Multi-Stage Shredding (Optional):

Dual-shaft or multi-shaft designs (e.g., twin-shaft shredders) enhance efficiency with counter-rotating blades, ideal for high-strength materials like solar panels with aluminum frames.

3. Discharge & Particle Control

Size Regulation: A screen mesh (adjustable 10-50mm aperture) at the chamber base ensures only particles below the target size exit. Oversized fragments are recirculated for further shredding.

Post-Shredding Handling: Sized particles exit through discharge outlets to downstream processes (e.g., sorting lines), often assisted by integrated conveyors.

Key Features & Benefits:

Targeted Shredding: Optimized for solar panel photovoltaic PV systems, including monocrystalline, polycrystalline, and thin-film panels.

Resource Recovery: Breaks down panels into 20-50mm particles for high-purity extraction of aluminum frames, silicon cells, and glass layers.

Industrial Durability: Heavy-duty tungsten steel blades and overload protection ensure continuous operation for large-scale recycling plants.

Eco-Compliance: Aligns with WEEE and RoHS standards, minimizing landfill waste from solar photovoltaic PV panel disposal.
